Question by SherriMoonFirefly: Anybody ever taken a (serious) online master’s program before?
I’m thinking to take an online MS program b/c the program I want to take is located at a medical college in NY and I’m in CA. This is a very upstanding college and the program is fierce and pretty difficult to get into. The school actually offers the program online, which is pretty awesome, but I’m curious how the online works…they mention participation in “online forums” and an “online classroom”- does anybody really know what that means? So, am I logging in to watch the teacher give lecture or is it already online and I just listen to the lecture at my convenience? It’s not like some students will be in a class and some will be online; it’s an all online program. So I guess I’m just confused as to how that works. And participation in online forums? If anybody has experience in this or knows how it works, would love to hear from you and thanks!

When I took MS classes online, we met at various classrooms on different campuses, and teleconferenced with one another. I know other people who earned their MA degrees online by pure e-mail. You probably should e-mail the dean of the department and ask for specifics.

I own a Yahoo Buisness titled “V-Acts.com”. It’s set to Zetaboards, which apparently allows you to create web pages within their site. I’d like to add a v-acts.com/forums to my domain so I could add “/home” and “/index” and make the forums a whole other part. I don’t want to buy another whole forum. Help?
